Center for Women Hosts Awareness Event October 8

with Giveaways, Prizes and Educational Resources Saturday, October 8, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.,

PERTH AMBOY, NJ, September 30, 2011… The Center for Women, with locations at Raritan Bay Medical Center’s (RBMC) Old Bridge and Perth Amboy locations, is hosting a breast cancer awareness event Saturday, October 8, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Woodbridge Mall in the lower level center court, 250 Woodbridge Center Drive, Woodbridge, NJ 07095.

Visitors who visit center court will receive guidelines for self breast examination and mammography screening as well as giveaways and opportunities to win prizes. While supplies last, those who stop by will receive ‘pink care packages’ with calendar planners, shower cards with self breast exam guidelines, emery boards, pink mini-purse, hair salon discount certificates and more. A select number of packages will contain a ‘golden ticket’ providing the recipient with a free spa day at the Woodbridge salon and day spa Vito Mazza.

This October marks 25 years of observing National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, marking a quarter century of creating breast cancer awareness, education and empowerment nationwide. This event is part of RBMC’s month-long efforts to increase breast cancer awareness, promote self-breast examination and the early detection of breast cancer.

Hospital Auxiliary Sponsors Holiday Luncheon, Theatre Trip

OLD BRIDGE, NJ, October 3, 2011… Raritan Bay Medical Center’s (RBMC) Old Bridge Auxiliary is sponsoring a trip to see the ‘Spectacular Holiday Show’ at the Hunterdon Playhouse Saturday, December 10.

Cost is $83 per person and proceeds benefit the medical center’s Center for Women, a pink ribbon facility, TM designating that RBMC provides its patients the best possible imaging technology available for the earliest possible detection of breast cancer.
