Support Groups
The center has adopted a proactive approach to patient care management and is involved with many aspects of care including community outreach and health education programs, reflecting our emphasis on preventive services and early diagnosis of cancer. Group activities are offered to patients, recovering cancer patients and their families to support the psychosocial needs of those diagnosed with malignant diseases.
Social Service professionals are available to make recommendations and refer patients and families for specialized counseling to such organizations as; American Cancer Society, Friends Health Connection and Cancer Care. Rose Team
The R.O.S.E. Team (Resources for Optimal Support and Education) is a program designed to provide free compassionate support and education for patients and families living with breast cancer. Patients or families requesting R.O.S.E. Team support benefit from personalized and confidential assistance that is uniquely tailored to their specific needs.
The team is comprised of highly trained Raritan Bay employee volunteers. Team members visit patients and their families to share information about hospital and community resources, answer questions that may arise during treatment, and offer emotional support when needed.
