Bequests |
 |
"Specific" bequests are the most common. You leave a specific amount of money, a specific asset, or a specific percentage of your estate to Raritan Bay Healthcare Foundation.
"Residual" bequests go to the Foundation only after all debts, expenses, taxes and other bequests have been paid.
"Contingent" bequests are ways for you to contribute to the Foundation even if you have young children. A contingent bequest takes effect only when all other bequests fail. Example: "If my child should predecease me then I leave my entire estate to "Raritan Bay Healthcare Foundation".
If you notify us that you have included Raritan Bay Healthcare Foundation in your will, you will become a member of the Legacy Society.
It is also important to remember to review your will periodically. Circumstances change, and you may find that your intentions of five years ago have also changed. You may also find that it is in your best financial planning interest to make the charitable gift which is in your will while you are still living. A charitable gift annuity or a charitable remainder trust, for example, will yield tax advantages as well as a lifetime income. You will also have the joy of making the gift and being thanked properly while you are alive.
When making a bequest, please remember that our legal title is Raritan Bay Healthcare Foundation. If you have any questions when preparing your bequest, please call 732-324-5374.
