Legacy Society
The Legacy Society is the Raritan Bay Healthcare Foundations way of recognizing donors who have chosen to support the Foundation through a planned gift. The Legacy Society members will be recognized through a special tribute displayed in the lobbies of both hospitals.

Here are some popular planned giving instruments which qualify a donor for the Legacy Society.

  • Bequest. When the Foundation is notified that a donation has been left to Raritan Bay Medical Center through their will.

  • Charitable Gift Annuity. A gift which has tax advantages while producing a lifetime income for the donor.

  • Life Insurance. A new or existing policy can be given to the Foundation.

  • Life Estate Agreement. A donor can deed a primary or secondary residence to the Foundation while retaining the lifetime right to live there.

  • Charitable Remainder Trust. A Charitable Remainder Annuity Trust or a Charitable Remainder Unitrust is a great way to make a significant gift, funded with cash or other assets, and receive an income for life.

  • Charitable Lead Trust. An asset is placed in trust for a specific term during which the trust pays an annuity to the Foundation. At the end of the term the asset reverts to the donor or a specified beneficiary.
