Three new physicians join wound healing panel at Raritan Bay Medical Center-Perth Amboy
Hackensack Meridian Health Raritan Bay Medical Center-Perth Amboy recently added three new physicians to form a panel of specialists for its Center for Wound Healing to address the variety of underlying conditions that cause non-healing wounds. Every year, approximately seven million Americans suffer from chronic, non-healing wounds and ulcers. These wounds are defined by their lack of improvement from conventional treatments within four weeks, and commonly are associated with inadequate circulation, poorly functioning veins, reaction to radiation therapy, traumatic injury, immobilization, and diabetes.
