Raritan Bay Medical Center in collaboration with Middlesex County College offers an associate science degree in nursing program. In this two-year program students complete 35 credits in general education and science taught by Middlesex County College faculty and 35 credits in nursing education taught by Raritan Bay Medical Center faculty.
The curriculum includes basics of nursing, medical-surgical nursing; a combination of obstetrics, pediatrics and psychiatry; and then advanced medical-surgical, with an emphasis on critical care and nursing leadership and management. Students receive their clinical experiences at Raritan Bay Medical Center, which is designated a magnet hospital for nursing excellence by the American Nurses Credentialing Center for nursing excellence. This designation is granted to less than three percent of America’s hospitals.
